If you’ve been keeping up with all things pop culture lately, you know that Prada Beauty ambassador Carpenter was spotted snacking on some Prada Banana Jelly candies in her latest “Manchild” music video, and fans have been scouring the web trying to find out what the gummy candies could be referencing—and the wait is almost over. Today, Prada Beauty revealed the catalyst for the banana jelly craze, and it might surprise you.

The Prada Beauty Banana Balm Is Coming

We’ll never forget when Carpenter featured the pH-adjusting Prada Beauty Astral Pink Hydrating Lip Balm ($50) in her “Please Please Please” music video last year, sending beauty lovers into a frenzy to try the blue lip balm, causing the product to sell out across retailers. While there were murmurs about a banana-scented fragrance when Carpenter was seen chowing down on the delectable (yes, I’ve tried them, and they’re delicious) Prada Banana Jellies, it turns out the tease was for a fruity rendition of Prada’s beloved lip balm.

Introducing the latest addition the Prada Beauty family: the Banana Balm ($50). Launching on Sephora on July 8, the new shade of the hydrating balm is enriched with jojoba oil, proven to provide 24 hours of comfortable wear and hydration, while supporting the lip barrier and helping to smooth lines with each use. The Banana Balm comes in a vibrant yellow hue inspired by Prada’s spring/summer 2011 collection, as the brand told Who What Wear, and the new launch is complete with an intoxicating banana scent. In terms of color, the Banana Balm skews more golden than yellow, so don’t be scared.
