Cardi B Officially Enters The Hair-Care Industry

Cardi B is officially entering the beauty space. The superstar rapper surprised the internet with news that her hair brand, Grow Good Beauty, is coming soon and fans couldn’t be more excited.

In her Instagram stories, Cardi dished on the project that’s taken her years to perfect—and no, it wasn’t her new album, Am I the Drama? “Today, I’m gonna preview something that I’ve been working on for the past three years. I’m excited, this is my baby, and it is something that is very highly requested,” she said moments before unveiling behind-the-scenes footage of Grow Good Beauty.

The story begins with a video clip circa 2023, where the rapper shows off her lengthy, natural hair, that, according to Cardi, has taken her almost seven years to grow. “I’m not going to tell you what I’m using on it [my hair] because I have to test it out myself first,” she says. She continues, saying that this is something she’s been very passionate about and has been working on for such a long time.

Beyond the tests and trial runs, the rapper notes that Good Grow Beauty isn’t going to be just another celebrity beauty brand. “This is Belcalis, Bronx girl, mother of four,” making it clear that her roots and personality are deeply infused into the brand. She explains that while she didn’t always love her natural hair when she was younger—a plight many Black and Brown women can attest to—she grew to love, appreciate and accept it.

While the full lineup of products is still under wraps, it’s clear that Good Grow Beauty will be shaking things up.
