Amanda Seyfried Shares the Only Spot She’ll Botox Forever

Amanda Seyfried has never been shy about keeping her beauty routine real, and her take on injectables is no exception. In a new interview with Who What Wear, the 40-year-old actress shared the surprisingly low-maintenance approach her dermatologist has mapped out for her—one that keeps her Botox routine to a single, strategic spot.

“I have a really good dermatologist who tells me that she’s never gonna do anything but put Botox in the same place for the rest of my life,” Seyfried told the outlet, reportedly pointing to the spot on her forehead where her derm injects the popular neurotoxin. While “Botox” is often used as a catchall term for wrinkle-relaxing injectables, it’s also one of the most well-known brands and is used to soften expression lines, smooth dynamic wrinkles and help prevent deeper creases from forming over time.

But Botox isn’t the only thing she’s incorporated into her routine. According to the interview, Seyfried is also a fan of IPL laser treatments, which stands for intense pulsed light. It’s widely known for reducing sun spots and discoloration, improving overall brightness and addressing redness.

And though Seyfried keeps her skin care and in-office treatments fairly low-key, that’s probably not how she’d describe her approach to mental health. “I know life is harder the older you get, but I also know that I’m pretty prepped because I’ve done a lot of work in the decade of my 30s,” she told Who What Wear. “I’ve done a lot of couples therapy. I’ve done a lot of therapy alone. I’ve had insane amounts of conversations with psychologists and friends who are psychologists that I feel like I have a lot of self-knowledge.”

It’s the kind of work Seyfried says makes everything else feel easier. “It’s not everything, but it certainly goes a long way.”
