Beverly Hills facial plastic surgeon Paul S. Nassif, MD may be best known to viewers as the star of E!’s Botched and a familiar face on HSN (where he’ll return on September 12 with a Weekly Deal Drop featuring his NassifMD Skincare line). But beyond the cameras, he’s a full-time surgeon seeing firsthand which innovations actually deliver results. And with so much newness in aesthetics right now, he’s cutting through the noise to share the treatments he believes are truly worth your attention.
1. Sculptra
“Sculptra boosts your own collagen,” Dr. Nassif says. “It gives you subtle, natural volume.” The injectable, made from poly-L-lactic acid, stimulates the skin to produce collagen gradually rather than filling lines immediately. For patients who want to restore youthful contours without looking overdone, Dr. Nassif calls it one of his go-to choices.
2. Exosomes
“Exosomes are next-gen skin repair, insane for glow and texture,” he explains. In his practice, he first began applying them after laser procedures to help calm inflammation and stimulate collagen. “Some are human based, others are plant based,” he says. “The simplest way to describe an exosome is that it signals your cells—it tells them what to do. It might be telling a cell to make more collagen, for example”. He notes that exosomes are still an emerging category, but believes their role in aesthetics will only grow.
3. Hyperbaric Oxygen
“It’s great for healing and getting swelling down,” he says. “It basically supercharges your healing.” Hyperbaric oxygen therapy, long used in medical settings, is increasingly being used after surgery or energy-based treatments. By having patients breathe pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber, the treatment can help tissues recover faster and reduce post-procedure discomfort.
4. Baby Botox
“Gentle Botox or ‘baby Botox’ prevents wrinkles but still lets you look natural,” he says. By using smaller doses of neuromodulator in precise placements, the approach softens expression lines while keeping movement intact. Dr. Nassif notes that more patients are starting earlier with this kind of treatment as a way to stay ahead of deeper lines without committing to a dramatic change.
5. Nanofat
“Nanofat supercharges your skin texture and may help hyperpigmentation,” says Dr. Nassif. Unlike traditional fat transfer, nanofat is emulsified down to stromal cells and then injected into the dermis. “It’s great for crepey eyelid skin, dark circles and even scars,” he explains. “Sometimes I’ll use it during rhinoplasty if I’m worried about skin health. Results can take three months to a year, and they vary among patients, but the potential is remarkable”.
6. Cryotherapy
“Cryotherapy reduces inflammation. Some say it’s anti-aging.” The treatment exposes the body or skin to very cold temperatures for a short period, calming irritation and sometimes leaving the complexion looking brighter and more refreshed. While results are temporary, he sees it as a useful add-on for patients who like the instant pick-me-up.
7. Sofwave
“It’s ideal for the jawline, brows and even under the arms,” Dr. Nassif says. Sofwave uses ultrasound energy to stimulate collagen just below the surface, creating a subtle lifting effect. “It goes superficial, lifting and tightening whether it’s your jawline or your eyebrows,” he adds. “They also have FDA clearance under the arms”.
8. MOXI
“It’s a light laser with big results,” he explains. “No downtime, no recovery needed. I do it myself every few months.” The fractional nonablative laser targets skin tone and texture, helping brighten dullness and smooth roughness. “MOXI is great for skin texture, helping rebuild collagen and adding brightness to your skin,” he explains. “I even use it to treat pre-cancerous conditions on my face.”
