Charly Jordan Drops Her Las Vegas Skin-Care Survival Kit

Rising multi-hyphenate Charly Jordan continues to prove she’s far more than a social media star. Named one of The Hollywood Reporter’s “Top Creators” in 2024, the DJ, actress and model is entering an especially exciting season: She’ll reprise her role as Sheila in Season 2 of the Ted series on Peacock this March, star in a global campaign for Steve Madden alongside Delilah Belle Hamlin and take the stage at Mexico’s Tecate Pal Norte Festival on March 28.

Offstage, Jordan is also one of the only female DJs with a Las Vegas residency via Wynn Nightlife, where she headlines and shares lineups with artists like Diplo, Marshmello, Tiësto, Zedd, The Chainsmokers and Steve Aoki—with new original music expected to arrive in April.

Reflecting on how her perspective has shifted as her career has evolved, Jordan also offers sage advice that even those off The Strip can relate to: “When I first started working in front of the camera, beauty felt very external. It was about aesthetics and trends, but over time, my definition has changed. Beauty to me now is authenticity and energy—the way someone carries themselves, their confidence, their kindness and the life they have lived.”

As someone constantly in front of the camera and on stage, how do you protect your sense of self from public perception?

“It took time to learn that the internet is only seeing a tiny fraction of who you are. Early on, it was easy to internalize comments or opinions, but I have realized that protecting your peace is part of the job. I focus on the people who actually know me and the things that ground me in real life. My friendships, my music, my routines and my health. The more rooted you are in your real life, the less power outside perception has over you.”

Your schedule is packed. What are your non-negotiable wellness rituals that keep you balanced?

Sleep—whenever I can get it—is number-one. Travel and nightlife can be really taxing, so recovery is huge for me. Hydration, electrolytes and keeping my skin-care routine simple and fragrance-free are also big priorities because my skin is extremely sensitive. I also try to move my body whenever possible, even if it is just a quick workout or a walk. Those small routines keep me feeling grounded even when everything else is moving fast.”

How do you reset after long nights of DJing or performing?

“After a show, the first thing I want to do is get everything off my skin. A gentle cleanse, a calming moisturizer and hydration are my go-tos. I am very careful with ingredients because I am hypoallergenic and fragrance sensitive, so I keep my routine minimal and soothing. Physically, I also try to decompress a bit before sleeping, whether that is stretching, tea or just quiet time. It helps bring my nervous system back down after the adrenaline of performing.”

What does getting stage-ready look like for you?

“It is about feeling confident and comfortable. Music is such an energetic experience, so I want to feel like myself. That usually means clean skin, simple makeup that holds up under lights and an outfit that lets me move freely behind the decks. The biggest part, though, is the mental shift. Before a show, I like to take a moment to focus, breathe and get into the right headspace so I can really connect with the crowd.”

All of that sounds glamorous, but demanding. What have you learned about camera confidence over the years?

“Confidence on-camera really comes from being comfortable with yourself. When I started modeling, I thought it was all about hitting the perfect pose. Over time, I realized the best images happen when you relax and let your personality come through. Now I treat shoots more like a collaboration with the photographer and creative team rather than something that needs to feel rigid or perfect.”

As one of the only female DJs with a Las Vegas residency, what does that milestone mean to you?

“It means a lot to me for several reasons. I was born and raised in Las Vegas, so having a residency there feels very full circle. It is the city that shaped me, and where I first started dreaming about a creative career. Being able to come back and perform regularly in my hometown is really special, especially because my family and friends can actually come to the shows and experience it with me.

It is also meaningful on a larger level because the dance music and nightlife space has historically been very male-dominated. Having a residency is something many DJs work toward for years, so to be able to hold that space as a woman feels really rewarding. I hope it helps show younger female artists that there is room for them in this industry and that they can build careers in it too.”

What is your beauty survival kit for residency nights in Vegas?

“Hydration is the biggest one. Vegas is dry, the lights are intense and the nights are long. I always have lip balm, a gentle face mist and products that help keep my skin calm. I also keep things pretty minimal because my skin reacts easily to fragrance and harsh ingredients. The goal is staying fresh and comfortable through a long set.”

You have some exciting projects coming up this year across multiple industries. What can you share about this next chapter?

“This next chapter is really about building things that feel meaningful and sustainable long term. Music will always be a huge part of my life, but I am also focusing on wellness, travel and projects that align with my lifestyle and values. I am excited to expand into spaces that combine creativity with purpose and give me the ability to connect with people in deeper ways.”
