It’s safe to say we’ve covered almost every trending iteration of the French manicure this year: chrome, double, deep, multi-colored tips, brown tips, red tips, pink, reverse, C-shaped, faded, micro, invisible, crystal, milky—you name it, we’ll wear it. But we’re not done with unique French manicures in 2025 just yet.
Celebrity nail artist Betina Goldstein is the legend behind the manicures of Gracie Abrams, Zoe Kravitz, Margot Robbie and more, but she’s just as famous for her attention-grabbing designs and maximalist nail art. So when we saw her take on a “festive French,” we were more than a little surprised—in the best way possible. Instead of a flashy holiday manicure, Goldstein debuted a delicate, short double reverse French using gold and copper holiday hues, courtesy of CHANEL. The look is simple, chic and undeniably striking.
For all my fellow manicure minimalists, recreating this cozy look at home couldn’t be easier. Start by applying one to two coats of a pale pink sheer polish (Betina used CHANEL’s Le Vernis in Ballerina) to the base of your nails. Then, grab a striper brush and apply a thin line of Alchimiste, an orange metallic, to the top of the nail, followed by a line of Phénix, a rich gold, along the bottom. Voilà—your holiday-ready manicure is ready to celebrate.
