The rumors are true: MAC. Cosmetics is joining Sephora. After much speculation, news broke that the makeup and cosmetics brand plans to launch in U.S Sephora stores in early 2026. Their products will be available at select Sephora locations and at Sephora at Kohl’s.
While this isn’t the brand’s first foray into beauty superstores (MAC has been available at ULTA since 2017), it does mark a major moment for the brand. In a recent press release, Tara Simon, President, The Americas, The Estée Lauder Companies, shared that the strategic collaboration is the result of years of successful partnership with Sephora in global markets. “We are deeply committed to delivering Sephora U.S. clients a dynamic shopping experience—both in-store and online—while continuing to innovate, inspire creativity and build community.”
The announcement comes on the heels of MAC’s resurgence within the artist community. In May of 2025, Nicola Formichetti became the Global Creative Director of the brand. Under his leadership, there has been a significant return to the artistic marketing endeavors that helped make MAC a household name. In September, Doja Cat became the newest Global Ambassador, which brought forth major campaigns and her hair-raising lipstick stunt at the MTV Video Music Awards.
Shortly after, Kris Jenner (and her freshly-lifted face) made headlines for becoming one of the new faces of MAC’s iconic Studio Fix Fluid foundation. Her feature in the ‘I Only Wear MAC’ ad campaign was among the most viral of the bunch. MAC has also been a strong contender on TikTok, with several products leading top-searched categories, which led to their debut on TikTok Shop in early July 2025.
Launching in Sephora will no doubt continue the brand’s efforts to extend its reach and accessibility. Helmed by the Estée Lauder Companies, MAC has always held a longstanding relationship within the beauty community. From artists to creators, they’ve been a go-to makeup brand for decades—delivering professional-grade products, high-quality formulas and championing inclusivity within the industry.
